Peter Lim donates 50,000 face masks and 300 thermometers to Valencia region

Peter Lim has been paying close attention to the situation in the Valencia region following the COVID-19 outbreak, and the Valencia CF majority shareholder has made a specific donation to healthcare personnel in local hospitals. Club president Anil Murthy informed the head of the Valencian 'Generalitat' regional government, Ximo Puig, of the donation on Wednesday.
Mr. Puig commented that the gesture was one of "great solidarity by Peter Lim," adding that "this altruistic gesture provides equipment that will be made available to healthcare and socio-sanitary personnel who are fighting on the frontline against the spread of the coronavirus. Peter Lim has shown his generosity."
The donation consists of 50,000 FFP2 face masks and 300 thermometers, acquired in China. The move was undertaken by Peter Lim in the name of the club, and will allow personnel to work with greater safety in hospitals. The Generalitat and Valencia CF will coordinate the reception of the material and the logistics that will allow its distribution in hospitals around the region.
Such materials have proven to be hard to obtain as the pandemic spreads globally, but are highly important and necessary for the protection of those caring for patients.
In other countries, Peter Lim has lent the use of hotels that he co-owns in Manchester, England to health workers, as well as various acts of philanthropy in his native Singapore.
